About Shevaun
Shevaun Pope
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Shevaun (she/her) graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University in 2021. She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP), and a member of Speech Pathology Australia and The Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH).
As a neurodivergent speech pathologist, Shevaun enjoys supporting fellow neurodivergent individuals of all ages. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in diverse settings such as the educational setting (both primary and secondary), private practice, and LGBTQIA+ services. She has a keen interest in working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals, focusing on functional communication and language goals.
Additionally, Shevaun is particularly passionate about supporting trans, gender diverse, and non-binary individuals in their communication and self-expression journeys.
Shevaun values the expertise of her clients, recognising that they are the true experts of their own lives. She centres their values throughout their speech therapy journey and adopts client-centred approaches, integrating neurodiversity affirming, systemic, mental health and trauma-informed practices that celebrate human diversity.
In her spare time, Shevaun enjoys singing, watching musicals, travelling, going to local farmers markets, and spending time with her greyhound, Fergie.
