About Amelia

Amelia Patamia

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist

Amelia is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia. She obtained her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University, Melbourne in 2024.

Amelia has experience working with individuals up to 18 years of age who have a range of communication needs and experiences. Her professional interests lay in the areas of neurodiversity-affirming education and therapy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) therapy, and literacy/language therapy.

Prior to her accreditation, Amelia worked across numerous private practices in the Macedon Ranges. Prior to this, in 2020 she embarked on a traineeship to be a Neurodiversity-Affirming Gym Instructor and has been an Independent Support Worker since 2021, where she has supported neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan, as well as people living with chronic health conditions.

Amelia joined the Thrive team at the end of 2024, where she began as an Allied Health Assistant before moving into her Speech Pathology role. Amelia is a powerful advocate for neurodivergent and AAC-user communities and aims to foster a calm, safe and positive environment for all her sessions.

When she is not at work, Amelia is busy watching the latest movies and TV shows, dancing, and camping with her fur-babies, Mannix & Archie.”
